2025: My Four Years in Switzerland

Welcome to my traditional yearly reflection, where I reply to the same questions every year to summarize my experience of building a life in Switzerland and the adaptation process.

Here is a summary of the year 2025.

Longines: Companion of Pioneers and Explorers

I was seeing Longines advertisements on billboards, presented by familiar faces such as Kate Winslet or Henry Cavill. To me, it was yet another Swiss luxury watchmaker brand without a specific story attached in my mind.

What I didn’t know was that, before being presented by brand ambassadors, these watches were on the wrists of world-record-breaking women and men explorers such as Amelia Earhart, Ruth Nichols, Charles Lindbergh, and many more. I only discovered this when I visited their museum and listened to the stories from the heritage team.
